Well hello!! Sorry i havent been able to blog for a while but we have has less than no internet access... Its been up and down to here, but ill tell you about that when i have more time.
Staying in the BP International Hotel (Baden Powell) and it is excellently located to get to everywhere!! Had a bit of a late night whith it being our first in Hong Kong, but we had a bit of a sleep in to make up for it. My cold is back so didnt feel great, but we're in Hong Kong baby!! Got a good view from the 22nd floor (room 2205) over the skyscrapers, not as many as New York, but geting there. Woke to it all smoggy thoiugh and it hadnt really cleared. You cant really see the island until your on top of it because of the pollution! Last night we bought cereal and milk so we had that for breakie. Set out for the Star Ferry port and paid out $2.20, about 20p!! for the ride across. Look around the big central area, up the many many escalators and then back down again. Had Pad Thai in a little cafe on the slopes. Walked back towards the harbour and took in the massive HSBC building and its rivals, they are all different and very impressive, there are quite a few little park around the bottoms, nice places to sit. Seen loads of massive Eagle/hawk type birds circling the thermals, dont know what the are though.
Before we had got on the ferry we had spend some time in the toursit office and we found they offer some free tourist activities. We are going to a tea appreciation class tomorrow and today we booked ourselves on an authentic Junk! It was only $50, about a fiver! We sailed around for an hour and ended up back on the right side of the sea. It was great, if hazy to see the skylines from the water and we saw the sun set.
Made our way back to the hotel, bought some washing tokens and it is drying now. Heading out for food shortly and another busy day planned for tomorrow!!
