Had cereal in our room again this morning and headed out for the ferry again. Caught the same one as yesterday and made our way to catch a tram to Causeway Bay going through Happy Valley. Saw the race course and other sights and shops and arrived at Causeway Bay. Just had a look around a few shops and grabbed some lunch.
Caught the metro to Admiralty and went in search HK park and the Tea Appreciation class, it was actaully in a tea house and was very interesting, talked about all the different types of tea and ettiquette in a tea house and we tried some teas, bought a few little souveneirs. Came out of there at 5.30pm and made our way to the Peak Tram Station. It was only $4 for the trip right up the very very steep hill on a train. There wasnt much at top except shops and of course the view... couldnt really capture it on the camera, but was lovely, it got dark while we were up there so we got the best of both! There were a few lovely restaurant up there, very romantic, but we came back down again and caught the metro back to Kowloon this time.
Got off at the top of Temple Street Market and walked down through the stalls looking for somewhere to eat. Bought a few things and then sat on the street on plastic stools and had chicken and mushroom rice and tea (we are connaseurs now!) Was very very cheap! Walked back to the hotel through the market, seems to be a bit less busy today, but still bustling! Its a much prettier city at night with all the lights, quite drab through the day. Just emailing and then bed, yet another busy day planned for tomorrow!
Happy Birthday for Monday Matty! Lots of love XX
