8 hours after leaving Frankfurt we arrived in New York, it took 90 minutes to get through customs and found a shuttle bus service that takes you into the city and then you transfer to another van that takes you to your hotel. we are staying at the Novotel on the corner of 52nd street and Broadway, when we look out at our window we look down to Times Square, we literally dropped our bags in the room, completly forgetting about the shower we were dying for, and headed for Times Square, you can't describe it, massive electronic billboards everywhere, people dressed in cartoon characters, just a great atmosphere, we had a quick look around and then headed up to Central Park, I wanted a hot dog in the park and finally got one, it was O'K but not something I will go back for, started to walk and suddenly jet lag kicked in and defeated we headed back to the hotel and by 4.30 we were asleep and woke up at 11.30.
