Woke up to another overcast and gloomy day with rain hanging around so there was no arguement over another day of shopping but this time we wanted to concentrate on the famus 5th Avenue and it lived up to all expectations, first a quick look around Zara 5th Ave, and believe me it is nothing like the Zara in Melbourne, without buying anything with the "we will come back later" idea in mind we ventured back out into the street, and just wandered from shop to shop, went into a toy shop called F-A-O Schwarz to see the big piano which featured in the movie "Big" with Tom Hanks, interesting! then onto Tiffany's, fabulous as always, Trump Tower is also on this street and that day you couldn't see the top as it was covered in the fog, but we did go into the Trump shops and surprise, it only sells Trump merchandise, day was getting on so back to Zara, big mistake leaving the shop earlier as it was now fairly busy, and a bit of a line up for the fitting room, once again I just sat while Chrissy did her normal thing, but even she gave up after a while and decided that we were going to come back as soon as the shops opened the next day, called into Saks and I ended up buying perfume from this really great gay guy, he was so excited when I finally made up my mind and with a flourish wrapped the perfume up in tissue paper and was more excited than anything to hand me the Saks carry bag that I thought he was going to escort me to the door.

Got back to the hotel room and had a rest as we were going out for dinner that night to DB Bistro Moderne, this is a modern French-American restaurant and is considered one of the 10 best in the world, well that is what the promotions states but I must admit the food was fabulous,the service was great and the dessert to die for, we sat next to an elderly couple and once we got talking they had lived in New York all their lives and had just moved to Florida, but what got our interest was that they arrived after us and finished way before us as this was the night of the great debate between Obama and Romney and they were going back to their hotel to watch it and then come back to finish the rest of their meal,

Our meal over we walked back to our hotel.
