So, day 2 and we (just) made the Eurostar in time after our posh London 5* breakfast. Both still pretty exhausted and enjoying piecing together our amazing wedding (still struggling to comprehend it really!)

Cab over to Marais and checked in to our hotel - bonne nuit paris - a beautiful 17th century town house we found on tripadvisor. The owner, Jean-Luc, is really friendly and has upgraded us in to a lovely room with a sitting room / kitchen. It's massive!

Weather was perfect. Wandered through Marais in search of an open fromagerie but, it being monday, eventually settled for supermarket cheese. Stumbled on a jazz trio playing by the banks of the Seine and listened to them whilst enjoying our bread, cheese and red wine picnic on a shaded bench. Amazing!!

A wander around Paris plage (man made beaches throughout the city), a couple of beers and a low key diner-de-jour at a local bar later and we're well & truly shattered. Definitely bed time... Night! x
