Well Hello!!! Sorry it has been so long since we last wrote, we have been soooo busy and have had minimal access to the net, therefore no blog posts! Our time in Oz is coming to an end, only 3 days left, then off to Bali! We started in Sydney, staying with family, which was just what we needed, had a great time there, they really looked after our every need! Then we flew to Alice Springs and did a 3 day camping safari around Uluru, Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and the Kings Canyon. It was amazing...but the spiders and lizards were a bit too big for my (Sarah's) liking and we had a couple of 'breakdown moments'. Ben, as always, saved the day! Where would i be without him! After that we headed down to Perth and picked up our hire car, which turned out to be a very small one, but it did the job and we merrily made our way up the west coast to Broome, staying at the most stunning beach locations on earth at times. We did lots of snorkelling, and even swam for 20 mins with a whale shark!!! best day ever! Although there were some rather large 'proper' sharks lurking around too...eek! The distance between each stopover was rather long and straight to say the least, saw lots of wildlife, including emus, kangaroos, snakes, cattle, camels, horses, lizards, etc... a very australian adventure indeed! We have left the car behind in Broome and flew up to Darwin as lots of roads up here are shut due to the wet season. Oh yeah, its hot! really hot, and very, very humid!!! Having numerous showers a day to try and keep sane!!! Anyway, we are saying 'good bye' to our boilling hot, and rather knackered tent and 'hello' to lovely airconditioning and ensuite bathrooms from now on...whoophee!!! Sorry for the lack of photos, havent managed to get them on cds yet, but will get it all sorted when we get to Bali, thats a promise! See you soon....x
