Monday 14-Tue 15 May (Pendennis Castle) Monday spent with light maintenance, and the good news that I have crew for possible passage Friday - Craig Jackson, a nice young man with plenty sea experience. Sunday 13 May (Falmouth and Truro)An exciting day today: managed to get last place on the RYA Sea Survival Course, based in classroom here in Falmouth, and in the pool of Truro School. I now know from experience how hard it is to get into a liferaft in full oilies, even in a calm, warm pool, and would move heaven and earth to avoid doing ot for real in the cold UK coastal waters! Excellent practical course, and one I have been trying to get onto since last year. ...

Saturday 12 May (Falmouth) Nick packed and left on the 8hr journey home by train. Further disaster struck with the death of my mobile phone, taking with it all my numbers! Bought a cheap temporary one in town, and got numbers from Cath, Lucy and Frankie, and some from my old emails, retrieved using the WiFi at The Boathouse, over a couple of beers and a baguette. Doesn't make the prospect of recruiting new crew any easier. Hey ho!
