Had a great day yesterday seeing the Vatican Museum (may have snuck a photo or two of the ceiling in the Sistine Chapel...), going to the top of St. Peter's, and enjoying the day. Found my next hostel and ended up spending the evening with some other travelers. Went over to see the Coloseum lit up, and wandered around Rome a bit to see the city at night. Well.. at least they plan their strikes. Is this the time to say 'when in Rome'? I feel that the most appropriate remedy for this particular situation was the gelato I picked up.. lemon and mango, so good!

Very full day! Well here we are! Got into Rome and found the hostel with no issues. Headed over to Saint Peter's Square after getting in, and spent a good part of the early afternoon there and in Saint Peter's.. holy wow. Never seen anything like that, someone spent some time on that!
