I think I forgot to update this yesterday so I will try and recap yesterday as well as give you a bit on today.
Yesterday we rented a car and drove to Germany. The drive was very nice. We stopped in Achee Germany for lunch. That was a great city with a nice town square. The main attraction is the Cathedral. It had some of the most amazing cut class mosaics I have eve seen The window were massive with wonderful colors streaming in. Rami posted some pictures on Facebook. Then on to Cologne. It was a much larger city than I imagined. Very busy. Some cool street performers. The Cathedral there looked like something that arose from solid rock. It was like a reverse stalagmite that reached so high that it was almost impossible to get a photo of it. Of course our wonderful photographer has this on Facebook as well. We.walked around forever trying to find a nice place for Rami to have a schnitzel but we settled on a nice steakhouse with really good food. Finally found a food Deacon won't eat- mushrooms. Who knew? We drove home and got back in about an hour and a half. Rami loves that you can drive fast there. He took full advantage of it but we were still being passed right and left. There was one part of Holland that sticks down in the corner so we actually were in 3 countries.
Today we took the Chunnel over. It's really almost anticlimactic considering it takes less than 2 hours and that includes a stop in Lilles. We love the flat. It is in a perfect location. Just one street over from Lestersquare. The flat is a very nice size. We have enough room for all of us. Bobby gets here tomorrow with Dylan. Tonight we are going to see batman at the big theater down the streets. Can't hold the kids off another minute. They are so excited. Having a blast! Wish you all were here!
