We're loving Thailand. The food is amazing, apart from long life milk.
The 4 of us visited The Grand Palace today. Getting in was ridiculous - there were queues for entry, admission, hiring clothing, exiting... plus it was the most commercialised place of religious significance that I have ever seen. We spent 7 quid each to join the crowds of tourists and the serious heat and... were disappointed. The Emerald Buddha didn't impress us too much, and we left soon enough.
To get back to Khao San our transportation of choice was a tuk tuk - with 4 people in.
It was a tight tight squeeze, resulting in me crammed with my kneck bent at the roof sat on Ben's lap.
The driver was crazy.
We're loving our current lifestyle - Ben had a manicure (hehe) whilst I got a pedicure and haircut for peanuts.
A good night out - we headed to Soi Ram Butri (a quieter side street) for dinner, listening to the restaurant's musician - a really good guitarist/singer, before hitting some bars in Khao San.
