Hi everyone!!
Hope you are all ok - we are both fine. The weather at the moment cannot make up its mind - it's hot sunshine one minute and pouring with rain the next - scorching today! Much better than English weather though...
We are still having a fantastic time and seem to be permanently tired! Probably due to the 6.00am starts we have every other morning to feed the monkeys. Speaking of monkeys, the baby monkey Ngomay is warming to us both. Well sort of... still not too keen on Dan but has a great time playing with his Auntie Bekki! The other animals are still just as crazy!
Tuesday was a pretty uninteresting day, we spent the morning in Greytown on a computer and the afternoon sorting out the fruit and veg we had collected from town for the monkeys.
Wednesday we visited Elise and her daughter Natasha (Dawn and Rodney's friends) to see a house they were thinking of moving into. It was gorgeous! Huge overgrown garden filled with crickets - although we couldn't get into the h o use as we were given the wrong keys!! Me and Dan just enjoyed the ride! The "roads" are soooo incredibly bumpy and we are jolted around in the 43 year old land rover! It's great fun to us!!
Thursday was fab! We got to meet the Ngossi (chief) of the area we are staying in. When we say 'area' we mean he is the chief of around 600,000 acres of land!! He is a very important guy! He is extremely large but seems to be a nice man. Apparantly it was his birthday on Wednesday so he is having a MASSIVE party on Friday at the bushcamp! And we're invited!! We are soooo excited! There will be hundreds of people and traditional Zulu dancing and drinking and a big log fire and it will just be such an amazing experience! Plus, the future President (in 6 months time he will be) of South Africa will be there! How random, but cool?! Anywho, after the meeting we went on a drive through the game park - more bumpy driving!!
And here we are now! Looking forward to the party tonight! Will be updating the travel blog on the 19th hopefully so look out for it!
We miss you all terribly and hope you don't miss us too much!
Sizobanana!
