Well I had an amazing nights sleep and ended up sleeping on the diagnol of the double bed. First time in I don't know how many days that I was able to stretch out in my bed, not make any noise and be comfortable!
I endured a 6km run first thing, which was good in the sense of getting out in the fresh crisp morning air, however I managed to hurt my knee whilst running so will have to see how that is tomorrow before attempting another 6km run.
On returning from my run, the birthday boy Dom had gotten up and opened presents. I went and got some croissants from brekkie and then enjoyed a fantastic shower.
Helen and the boys got things ready for Dom's birthday activities with friends this morning I headed into Chrsitchurch for a nice ramble around. I enjoyed walking around Hagley Park (with a stop in the cafe) and around the arts centre and art gallery - however my visit had to get cut short due to my knee hurting.
I managed to pick up a few holiday gifts for a few people and pleased with my bargins and finds. Returned home to peace and quiet as Pete had taken the boys swimming. The peace will be shattered soon and then the fun of the sleepover will begin. Wonder how much sleep will be had tonight!
Will sign off now and enjoy the silence whilst it lasts for a little bit longer. Hopefully be able to report another funfilled day tomorrow as planning to it the Antarctic Centre. Last day with my lovely car - sad to see it go, but will go out with found memories and a day of driving too and fro the centre.
