Had another fantastic day here in NZ. Clear blue sky and sun was out in force again, so no complaints on that front. Had my first decent nights sleep that I actually felt warm due to the hot water bottle and comfy bed. It is defintiely a place I would recommend to anybody stopping in hamner to stay in.
This morning I went for a walk up the hill/moutainside and around hamner forest. It was goregous with everything glinting and sparkling in the sun from the frost. The frost did however make it at times interesting under foot but the views where worth it.
Helen, Pete and the boys came up in the afternoon and we had a relaxing and fab time in the hot pools. If only they had been in queenstown for after the snowboarding. We definitely felt smug staring up at the snow capped mountains whilst sitting in a nice warm hot pool. Spent ages in there and managed to get out just before the sun set behind the mountains.
I got taken out for a meal by them where I enjoyed a fab sweet chilli salmon pasta and caramel ice cream sunday. I was stuffed by the end of it. On returning to my hostel I enjoyed a chilling evening chatting to a couple of kiwi girls about life, the universe and everything in it.
Off to kaikoura in the morning for my final destination on my whistle stop tour of the south island,
