Finally had a lie in today! didn't wake up until about 10.30am which was nice! already felt very warm, estimated temp today- 34deg C. Not too hot then! Left the hostel absolutely covered from head to toe in factor 30 and armed with our cameras we headed towards Federation Square via the Queen Victoria Markets. The market was a massive bustling place with people fighting over the freshest fruit and vegetables and over the red tipped organic bananas! We walked past Federation Square and headed down to the Alexandra Gardens and the Queen Victoria gardens where there were loads of food and game stalls. Face painting, kite making, even an abseiling wall for kids. It was lovely but def pushing 34 degrees now. We walked round further to where there weresome vintage cars and dog racing! We eventually found ourselves a bar and treated ourselves to lunch and a big bottle of wine by the yarra river side. After a few too many we wandered home via a cake shop to get ready for our night out. We ended up in the Crown entertainment complex. Had a game on the pokies (and lost!) and danced the night away in Fusion. Awesome club with awesome tunes!!
