Woke up in our lovely campsite in Batmans bay (as Hallas calls it!) and didn't want to leave. The weather was lovely and the showers were amazing after yesterdays disaster. Had a cup of tea by our tents (by boiling the water ourselves!) and got back on the road at 10am. We were heading inland through several national parks and through the Great Dividing Range. Very green and grassy but quite open and flat. We went through Queanbeyan which we loved just because of the name! we got to Canberra and quickly found a campsite. The Canberra Motor Village. We very quickly regretted our decision when we saw that the site looked like something out of that film, Cabin Fever, or Blair Witch. Most definately will be eaten by bears or dingos. Went on a tour of Parliament house and then went ten pin bowling to try and lift our spirits. Will DEFINATELY never be returning to Canberra ever again and I advise others to avoid it also!
