We're still alive after our horrinnle night in Canberra. There were times that we thought we wouldn't make it through though. Like when we started singing 'oh happy day' and these strange looking shadows appeared on the side of our tents which freaked us out! So after we woke up, we made a very quick exit after a hot shower and got back out on the road. The weather was terrible, really heavy rain which made driving through the snowy mountains quite an experience especially with Hallas behind the wheel! we stopped at a little town called Bredbo and we pulled into this cute little place- Bredbo pancake and crepe restaurant= good times! We went via a place called Cooma- population, 8,000 which was cute enough and through yet another National Park (South East Forest National Park) and through a town called Bega where they make the cheese. It was still raining quite hard at this point and so we decided to stay in a YHA in Merimbula- Wandarrah Lodge. It was a lot more expensive than the campsites at $29 a night but def worth it. With proper beds and a place to re-charge our batteries, quite literally. also went to the local 2 screen cinema to see 27 dresses!
