Kuala Lumpur is one amazing city!! Mainly due to the fact that the amazing man from the IT centre got all my photos back for me after i deleted them! But seirously, it is gorgeous.. would definetly recommend!!
Me & Charlotte were off out as soon as we arrived so off we headed to Times Square, an amazing hotel/shopping mall with an indoor theme park! So we couldnt resist a ride on the worlds largest indoor rollercoaster, it was hilarious! Really quite scary when you think you're like 8 floors up in a theme park! We did a bit of shopping etc, even popped into crispy kreme! We then headed back and ended up having dinner with the girls in China Town, where there was an absolutely MASSIVE market selling all the fake/cheap crap you'd expect. Headed off in a taxi to go and see the Petronas towers at night, we weren't dissapointed! It was absolutely amazing, the pictures don't even look real! Took a lot of positioning & careful angles to try & get us in the picture with the towers! (diana & me were lying on the floor.....) but it was worth it!
Spent the next day doing a hop on/hop off bus thing, where you just buy the pass and you can stop all over the city! Brilliant thing to do if you ever go there! We went to the lake gardens, saw all the orchids, even saw a few wild monkeys running around! Went to the Patronas tower during the day, not as impressive as at night but still looked amazing! Unfortunately the passage way inbetween is closed so couldnt go up there :( but we went inside where there was a massive shopping mall! Bit too expensive & designer for us though.... haha, so we headed back to times square and did a little bit more shopping :) finally bought myself a nice pair of shoes that i can wear to raffles when i get to singapore! Headed out for dinner with the girls again, but first we went up the KL tower (which looked great all lit up in pink!) and looked at the views of the city from 700m up! Due to my camera being s*** at night to put it politely, i couldnt get the greatest of pictures! But the view of the patronas etc was amazing :) went for dinner at T.G.I Fridays (very malaysian) but i was in desperate need for western food!
Shame we didnt have any longer in KL, but we had a great few days! Even learnt how to use their train system! Next stop... Melaka! xxxx
