We arrived in Koh Phi Phi this morning and have spent all day in the sun on the beach relaxing. Its beautiful and definitely a backpackers place. We are staying 4 nights at least so fingers crossed the tan may develop. Lol. Already seen a friend from uni within 3 hours of being here so looking forward to the next 4 days. Plan is beach beach and more beach and of course a visit to the Beach beach.
Since I last wrote we spent two days on a very long slow boat trip up the Mekong Delta and then crossed into Thailand and travelled Chang Mai to Bangkok. We said our goodbyes to the others and did a little retail therapy on Kho Sam road and chilled. Fortunately no red shirts around although I heard today it has all started up again. Don't worry as I won't be going back to Bangkok. Singapore and Bali are the next stops after Thailand.
On tuesday we flew into Krabi in the rain and a fantastic thunder storm. We found accomodation and stayed for 2 nights. Three of us went rock climbing and abseiling for the day in Railey which is a definite highlight although still aching now. We tried a variety of different levels of cliffs and walked through a cave with bamboo ladders to climb up, with a section in the dark and then abseiled down the cliff edge. Then trekked through the jungle to Railey Beach East which was so so beautiful. You will see from the pictures.
Next stop was Kolanta in an attempt to meet up with two girls we have met while travelling however unfortunately couldn't locate them. Kolanta was so so quiet and with it being monsoon season had a fair few storms. But the beaches were beautiful.
Then travelled here this morning.
Very much still loving it and looking forward to the next few weeks here on the south islands. Especially Ko Tao for the diving.
Hope you are all well. Will try and upload all the pictures over the next few days. Sorry if there are millions. Just so many beautiful places.
xx
