Hey everyone,
So sorry I haven't updated sooner. Life has been very very busy and extremely fast place and as I won't have internet for a few days I thought I would give you a very big update and my travels so far......
So I updated in Nha Trang in Vietnam which was a nice couple of days on the beach. SInce then the adventure has certainly continued.
Next stop - Hoi An
This was most definitely my favourite place in Vietnam. A gorgeous town which is famous for tailors. SO guess what... Matt and I went shopping. We had so much fun being measured and designing our own clothes for very little. Jo I will be matching when I move back with ya, although mine is black with turquoise piping. We had so much fun renting bikes and exploring the beach and eating on a beautiful lake.
Hue was the next stop - to be honest, nothing much to write home about other than visiting a Citadel which had been bombed in the war. Terrential rain here too although Matt and I managed to avoid as we decided a morning in bed was a better idea.
Halong Bay - a short stay although a mindblowing place. We boarded a junk boat and travelled around the lime stone rocks/mountains in the middle of the bay and saw some lovely caves.
Hanoi was the final location in Vietnam where Matt left. One very very busy city where crazy traffic was at a whole new level including motor bikes on the pavements! We saw a water puppet show which was fun - not what I was expecting at all. A fun night dancing with everyone after our leaving meal and then bye bye Matt.
Its been very strange without him and I miss him lots. We had such a wicked time. Many magical memories to treasure together.
However, the adventure has continued. Due to all the things in Bangkok I decided to get a new Visa in my passport and explore Lao. I love this country. Its beautiful. Its all mountainous and no big cities ( definitely a country girl at heart).
We crossed the boarder and stayed a night in a boardering town called Lac Sao. I was shattered after a 11 hour bus transfer and it was my first night in a room on my own - a bit sad.
Then we went to a lovely town called Vientiane and we have a beer watching the sunset sat along the Mekong Delta,. Very odd thinking that the other side of the water is Thailand. We visited a Buddha Park which was really nice. Honestly you will never have seen such a big Buddha ever!!! Lol.
Vang Vieng was a fun backpacking town. This is where the famous tubing happens. ( Have a look on you tube if you are interested). It was good fun and in the morning I kayaked down the river amongst the mountains which was beautiful.
Luang Prabang is where I am currently. I am currently sat absolutely shattered in an internet cafe. I have had such an exciting day. This morning was filled with riding elephants through the jungle and through the river and feeeding them etc. This afternoon we went to a waterfall. It was soooo beautiful. Around 6 different tiers and you could swim in the different levels. The water was cold as well which was amazing.
I can't believe a month has nearly passed. It has been so jam packed I cannot believe I have nearly finished three countries already.
Plans are entering Thailand in 2 days after being on a slow boat down the Mekong and then flying to the south islands to chill for 3 weeks before Singapore and Bali.
I have taken so many pictures and cannot wait to show you all. I have not had the opportunity yet but I promise in a week or so all 1000+ will be up. Lol. You think i am kidding.
I think of every one of you and miss you all. But I am still loving every minute of my adventure.
Keep emailing. Love you all lots. Promise I will be in contact very soon.
