Beki and Steves travels
the tour we did was with annies place ( it was wkd!!)
we woke up this moring at 5.45 to make our way to the bus which left at 6.30. we all tiredly placed our stuff on the bus ( all 24 of us, a nice ecletic mix of cultures) and then set off.
our guides name was Chris and he was wkd! had a really good selection of tunes blaring about. the first one was "come to australia... you'll get killed!) which was wkd.
we then stopped off from our 6 hour trip into the outback at camel station where we both had a 5 min ride on a camel which was very painful.
we then carried on stopping briefly for the loo. at one point chris slammed the bus to a holt and jumped out. we all were bemused as he ran off into the distance. he emerged a few mins later with a thorny devil! (not a horny devil)! which was pretty cool. we then carried on to kings canyon for a 3 hour walk. this was fantastic, chris gave us supurb infomation and also we saw a koala ( a little platic one he had pegged to a tree about 2 years ago)
we went swimming in a water hole which was really refreshing after a hot walk. then we carried on. we looked over the talkes part which was scary and some chris made some people learn backward over it lying down and he took a photo. it was scary but the photo wkd! we dnt wanna do it thou, valuing our life to much lol.
after walking around the canyon and looking at the oldest bush ever (predating dinosours) we headed back to the bus and onto the campsite for the night. on the way we stopped and got some beers ( we got 10 between us which is loads for us, beki drank 2 and gave one to steven E in exchange for wine)
then we got to our site ( a field ) and set up a roaring fire. we got our meal of kangaroo cooking and then got our swag bags out. these were soooooooo comfy, just like sleeping on a matteress and watched the stars for about 2 mins before falling exhausted into a deep sleep.
