And so it goes on...

November 2nd - today was James 33rd Bday so after the horses were fed and watered I got Rosco ready for james to ride him as he was going to be in a competition over the weekend. I was going to be teaching a couple of adults from 10.30 so had to leave around 9 so that i was there in time. the first lesson i took fell off - gutted!!! but she got back on so it was all good. the 11.30 didnt turn up so i decided to waste some time at Kings Park and to my suprise I was treated to an air show - the Red Bull Air Race was in town and they were doing the trial runs so had my lunch with one of the best views around - was fantastic. had a bit of a wander - the park in 1000 acres wide (or possibly 1000 hectares, cant remember which one all i know is one is gigantic and one is quite big) anyhoo had a bit of a wander and then sunbathed for a bit. had to go back to work which i SOOOO couldn't be bothered to do. taught all afternoon adn then came home around half 7. had a shower and did the horses etc while Eleta was preparing a bday dinner party type thing for james. we had Oysters to start - yummy (well the kirk fitzparick ones were anyway, the normal ones were a bit funny), followed by a selection of seafood and veg and rice follwed by bday cake for pud! we had seabusicuit on the tv as well. Drank 2 bottles of chamange and a bottle of white - little bit tipsy.

November 3rd - James was competing in the morning so i was up early to finish off cleaning tack etc before setting off for work at 8 am. didn't lock the gate this week so it was all good! after teaching all day in the heat, we were finished early so got home and when Eleta and James got back we went to the swimming pool with ollie cos it was really hot and dry. had a bit of a splash about and then went to Ferral again for some more beer tasting and some tea.

November 4th - Sunday we went to the XC side of the competition and we watched james go clear with rosco. the girl who tried him on wed came and watched him compete all weekend so she was dotting around. we watched somemore of xc after rosco was hosedoff and in a padock having a breather. it was boiling so we went and grabbed some lunch and Eleta and james took rosco and oli home so that they could cool off. I stayed and watched the SJ and some more of the XC. when they returned we watched the rest of the competition and the awards. so after we got home we had tea - FILLET STEAK!!!! mmmm and then james went to the shop to get chocolate for us all to share and couldn't find george the lakeland terrier. so muggins here thought that it would be a good idea to go and search around the paddocks for him in the dark with the company of a small and stupid jack russell and a useless torch! any way there i was with this useless torch and jack russell and i heard a ssssssssssssssss noise, turned sharp around could not see the stupid dog anywhere and saw something moving very quickly in the grass. so naturally i hopped the fence into the sand arena so i could actually see where i was putting my feet instead of trundeling around in the long grass not seeing anything! that so far is the only snake ive seen. Eleta went out on th quad to see if she could see george but then gave up as we couldn't find him anywhere. didn't sleep well as was bit worried about george being bitten by that snake.

November 5th - george came back looking a bit sheepish so god knows what he had been upto all night. I was told the night before that i was going to be getting my own horse so that i would be having a little project to work on. so off we went to go and get him. Rusty is a 17hh chstnut giant!!! this beasty is huge - not a little project at all! his feet were shot to pieces so thats job number one - getting his feet sorted and his mane cleaned up - it was stupidly long. so we got him back home to play in his new padock. after the snake scare we decided to mow the grass down the side of the arena so that there would not be any snakes that could hide in long grass. the mares dotty and flolow mangaged to brake into the arena as we were cutting the grass and went nuts bucking and galloping around all over the place! managed to get them out eventually and then got chnaged into work gear. the power had gone off in the area so we went to midland to get lunch and then into work. came home and had dinner with james as eleta was off to a meeting.

November 6th - got rusty into a stable and attacked his mane - was hideous! and then lunged rosco before it got too hot to do anything. today was melbourne cup day so got washed and brushed myself and then went to the pub to watch it. was brilliant. we bet on one of the perth races and bet on trucking tobie and another horse who i cant remeber what he was called but anyway trucking toby was like 10 to 1 and typically chucked his rider of while warming up - please he won thou! my horse came in 3rd on the actual cup as well. Lunged rusty in theafternoon after we came back from the cup race and watched tv and chilled out all evening.

November 7th - Eleta and Jamess took dotty away to get broken in. poor flowlow had tpo have rusty for company for a while but it worked well. lunged rosco as well as the girl was coming to ride him again. lunged rusty as well after rosco. had lunch and the got rosco ready to go again in the afternoon before getting myself ready for work. I had 2 no shows which was good so only taught for 1hr 30 which was sweet! stopped at the bottle shop on the way home - more cider! yey!!

November 8th - Rode Rusty today, still hasn't got his feet sorted but just walked him around so he could get used to having someone riding him again. rode rosco as well. got changed and then me and eleta went into midland so i could post off lauras 22nd bday present - fingers crossed you should have it soon laura!! After that me and Eleta went to York - how bizzare is that - which is in the middle of nowhere and had a mooch around as eleta and james are looking at buying a property out there so that they can grow their own hay etc. saw a dead kangaroo on yje road but other than that i still havent seen any real ones bouncing around or any koalas or snakes in the day time or big spiders, im a bit dissapointed. wasnt feeling brilliant when we got back so had a nap and then was going to feed the horses and discovered a dead magpie in rustys water trough so had to empty that and disifect it. just as i finished that James came over and decided to drag me over to their mates house for a drink with them and their son and his mate. well i looked fantastic - i had muddy jeans on as i had been kneeling down to disinject this trough and then had a purple fleece over the top of a bright orange strapless top! beautiful - of and dont forget the mud smeared across my face! their son ben owns a big stud yard so might get some work there for him and his gf and his mate stuie said he would show me around and take me out on the boat (later when James and Eleta got back they were taking the piss as we hadn't got it out of stuie if this boat was a boat boat to go sailing on or if it was a canoe or what! lol) so he was going to get in touch anyway. me and ollie left early cos i still wasn't well and ollie was off to bed. didnt eat any tea that night - was not well at all!

November 9th - taught in the morning and then went throught to subiaco market to get some fruit etc and kill some time. taught again in the evening - same as last week, didn't really want to or be bothered but taught anyway and then home and had dominoes for tea.

November 10th - left early again to start teaching and taught unitl half 3 left at 4pm. was a long day! in the evening we went up to James winery as they were promoting some new wines and had a BBQ etc. came home after a while as ollie was being a monster and running around and dancing with the band a bit too much! there was a hen do going on at the same time which lowered the tone a bit as this rather large woman in a very tight (ewww) black dress kept falling over and opening her legs wide. not a pretty picture!

November 11th - was too windy to go on any boats and far too hot - was 37 degrees which was far too hot to do anything so after we all went for breakfast with eletas sister lizzy we went and got some dvds to watchwith the air con on!! after we watched 1 and a half of them we thought we would go out to whiteman park which is abit nature reserve around the corner from eletas house that has a wildlife park attached to it - saving that until matt and marie get here with their daughter millie so that we can all go and pat the wallabie and kangaroos etc. came home and roasted somemore and then chilled out again - too hot to do much more!

November 12th - in the morning I lunged Rusty but left rosco as by the time i got to him it was boiling- the temperature reached 39degrees so didnt want to push the horses too far. I left for work after lunch and taught all evening. Eleta, James and Ollie have gone away for a few days as part of James Bday present so came home and made myself dinner and started updating this blog thing

November 13th - Today i got up early - maybe around 6 am so that i could ride rusty and rosco before it got too warm. after sorting out all the horses and doing my washing i got ready and went to the beach. went to Cottlesloe first and spent most of the afternoon there. after that I went for a drive up the coast so i could visit Scarborough beach - IRONIC!!!! i had to check it out - i mean, uni there for 3 yrs so HAD to visit the scarbs on the otherside of the world. got a little bit burnt out in the sun but fingers crossed i'll be in less pain by the time i get up in the morning. Girls that went to zante - do you remember that sunburn that me and cat had pictures taken of?! (ash - the one that you took with the waterproof camera and insistd on showing to everyone when you got them developed!) well thats whats happened again - bit painfull! lol anyhoo i have now caught up on all my news and daily goings on.
