We left the Kissimmee KOA and started for the Port Orleans, Riverside. It took about 20 minutes. It would have taken less time, but I got lost listening to the Garmin. That's okay, we were quite early. But we figured the room might be ready early and they’d let us in.
Wrong.
But I’m ahead of myself. We first dropped off the dog at the Best Friends Pet Care "Palace". I say “palace”, because it cost a king’s ransom to board her there. She got better care than we did.
We left there after signing about ten pages of the contract, and went to the hotel, which was literally across the street. We were there around 1:30 pm, check-in time being at 3:00, and waited and waited and waited. We walked around and waited. We sat for a while and waited. We sat in the bar and had a drink (Barbara had a hurricane) and waited some more. We did, eventually get into the room, and our kids showed up, all safe and sound.
And what did you do with the RV, I hear you ask? We were able to park it in the hotel parking lot near our room. Very convenient.
No parks, today. We will hit our first parks tomorrow.

Shannon You forgot to add the fact that that weekend there was a cheerleading competition going on... so the hotel, flights and parks were littered with scantily clad cheerleaders of all ages running around with big bows in their hair and their butt cheeks practically hanging out... how parents let their young daughters run around practically naked, I don't understand... and yes, I realize that comment makes me sound old!!
Leigh Ann Wow! What a beautiful place to spend a few days.
