Merry Christmas & Happy New year to everyone!

We started the Oz trip in Melbourne, where we spent most of the time surfing. The weather wasn't great (raining!!!!) so couldn't do the great ocean road on a harley davidson!! , just gives us an excuse to come back another time. Then drove up to Sydney via Canbera to check out the capital... not much to see other than parliament! Sydney has just been amazing, our favourite city in the world...(so far) We based ourselves in a great apartment in the city and from there explored all the sites.... Bondi beach, sydney zoo to see the crocs & kangaroos, caught the ferry to manly beach, which was amazing taking the ferry under the bridge and out past the opera house and of course more surfing. We spent Christmas day with Celine & Helen, they made us feel right at home withe a great xmas feast and plenty of nice wine (since we started drinking for the festive season). It was weird but lovely being hot at xmas and having a few champers on Celines veranda. For New Year we booked on a riverboat cruise, it was one of the 50 selected boats to be included in the NY firework parade. The views were amazing, cruising up and down under the harbour bridge - the most spectacluar firework display we have seen.Before we left sydney we went to Palm beach where they film home & away !! and we had a barbie at the 'cabbage tree club' which was right on the beachfront...

anyway its back in the love bus again as we head on up the sunshine and gold coast towards cairns ... happy days!!!
