ahoy cant beleive we have made it back safe after our 5 days sailing... 2 days instruction then let loose for 3 days on our own in a 25ft yacht to sail round the bay of islands... what an amazing and exciting challenge!! we had a great laugh with our teacher Ben from Devon who must have been crapping it a few times too when Maz was at the tiller (steering) we had a couple of scary moments but managed to sort it out and sail confidently in 20- 25 knot winds !!! ...

So since the skydiving we've managed to fit in a few more activities...... black water rafting - which involves 35 mtr abseiling into a black hole!!! terifying for me (not so much for Baz) then a zip line into the darkness, then rafting through caves on rubber rings and climbing up waterfalls and through the smallest of water filled holes......its the first thing that baz has done that he will not do again!!(the size of him and the small holes were not compatable...

still on the detox (apart from a few carmel shortcakes!) its been back to the action with hiking up a volcano for 6 hours.. which aparently erupts every 25 years.. and is 6 years overdue.. so we kept a more than brisk pace!!!. then we stayed at a backpackers with a climbing wall.. so that gave us a chance to shunky each other.. and also a taste to maybe try real rock climbing!!... yesterday we caught 4 wild rainbow trout on lake taupo... put 2 back, sent one for ...

howdy, sorry no pics for a while but all internet places have been a bit useless (not us). We headed up the west coast but weather stopped us surfin or hanging around for long. So we went to christchurch and visited trinity's parents Jim and Jill who gave us a great home cooked meal and few bottles of vino and a right laugh with there son Amos. Then we enjoyed chillin at a wee french sea side settlememt called Aurora and loved the ice creams.. then up to Kaikoara...

So this week has been a bit of a nature adventure, taking us to Fiordland (melted glaciers and mountains) Its the most isolated amazing place we have ever been! waterfalls, penguins, seals, dolphins, and the most amazing scenery (check out the video). The first night in doubtful sound we spent the night on a beautiful boat called "Fiordland Navigator" this was a bit of luxuary and a change from the campervan. 3 course lovely meals and cozy wooden cabin...
