BULA

Fiji has been the most beautiful place we have EVER been !!!... the Mamanuca and Yasawa group of island are real paradise .. just like the bounty advert. The people are always smiling, laughing and singing... they really want you to be there and are genuine, gentle people.. its hard to believe they were cannibals until a few years ago!!

After the campervan in NZ it was great being pampered in the luxurious Shangri-la resort... (and feeling safe-ish there as the cyclone changed course and missed us..phew!)... then we went island hopping where we chose 3 different islands to stay... all being different but equally beautiful.. sleeping in a beachfront BURE with nothing to do but swim, snorkle and kayak and feast on the 3 meals a day which are included in the price....mmmmmm

one of the islands we stayed called Bounty was used for 'celebrity love island' and you could walk round it in 20 mins... but the set they used has been left to wreck.. we also went on a cruise and snorkled to the island used for tom hanks movie Cast Away .. stunning!!

our favourite island- Oarsmans was right at the end of the 5 hour ferry journey, then another 20 mins by water taxi.. so it felt so remote and isolated.... and we visited a genuine Fijian village.. seeing the school, medical centre and churches.. and of course met the chief

Its off to OZ now to face the spiders, snakes and crocs !!!!
