After a well needed sleep we awoke fresh as daisy's and ready for our horse trekking through the tupiza mountains. We were brought to a ranch outside the town and loaded up on two horses and given a 15 year old guide! The landscape was surreal and definitely the best way to see it was on horse back. The horses were for sure half wild and did not like being controlled so much so that when the guide tried to direct his horse he rose up on his hind legs and my (unfortunately very timid horse) took off cantering! Dogs were another no go with the horses, or plastic bags or anything that made noise or moved! I dunno how Barry did it! His first time horse riding, semi wild horses, and a guide with no English and stray dogs everywhere! But it was an amazing day. The sun was splitting the rocks and the views were incredible. The main thing is bar said he would def get up on a horse again! Mission accomplished!
