The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park are true wonders of nature. You have most likely seen the Ansel Adams photographs, but to let the landscape surround you is truly an experience. The colors that nature can conjure in a thermal pool, a reflected mountain in a pond, or the sky at sunset are awe inspiring. Artists, photographers and poets can try to capture the beauty of these parks, and as we visited the many sites throughout both, we saw them try. We even whipped out our cell phone cameras on countless occasions trying to capture the amazing view or the wildlife we encountered, but don't let seeing the photos I've uploaded here stop you from coming out to see it for yourself if you haven't already. And its not just the visuals. The sounds of the erupting geysers and the crashing falls, the feel of the steam coming off the thermal pools warming you from the chill of the wind blowing across the meadow, or the thrill of seeing a moose cross the trail right in front of you as you hike up to a cool mountain lake. I was hoping the muse would inspire some thoughtful words to sum up this leg of our journey, but the best I can come up with is what I read on a postcard in the visitors' center gift shop at Old Faithful. Here it is:
Advice from a Geyser:
Rise to the occasion, Stay active, Find your inner strength, Vent when you need to, Enjoy the quiet moments, Be faithful, Let off a little steam!

BC Positively peachy prose AB....I certainly look forward to seeing it for myself some day. Driving back from a comparatively short road trip of 1900 miles with an hour left now...kids will never forget our efforts to compile more memories with them!
