Bahram's World Tour 2006
Having spent only two days in Honduras, to visit the archeoligical site of Copan, it was a bit shortlived but still good.
Having seen so many ruins along my trip so far, with the Inca's and now the Mayan's its starting to get a bit samey as once I have seen 20 sites of ruins and temples it gets a tad bit boring, but still nontheless its nice to learn something new about the empires and how they lived.
Copan was the second biggest city of the Mayan empire, behind Tikal, which is in Guatemala. After visting the site we headed on a 45 minute pick up truck ride into the jungle to visit some hot springs.
After a few rum and cokes the party was in full swing with the young crowd staying behind until the late hours partying. Sitting on the back of a pick up truck on the way back and stopping off for some beers in the middle of the jungle at this small hut, I kind of had to remind myself exactly where I was. I am in Honduras, inthe middle of the jungle, on the back of a pick truck trying to haggle with the owner of this little shack with my ausie mate on a price for a few beers, these are the moments you treasure
Let the adventures continue...
