Monday started with a White as a sheet Ruby not being able to keep her breakfast down. Might have been something to do with the amount of the swimming pool she drank.
Mummy looked after Ruby while Daddy and George had instructions to go exploring. George was promoted to the front seat with a grand view of all the tractors in the fields, french cows (le mooo) and strange road junctions that we just shrugged and went for. The surprising thing was that it seemed that every village had a Monday morning lie in with shops not opening till the afternoon.
George and Daddy returned non the wiser about local amenities to find Ruby awake, refreshed and needing lunch. Banana and Jam sandwiches seemed to do the trick and Ruby had enough energy to want to try the outdoor pool.
This time they both had their wet suits on to make sure of beating the cold pool. Crossing the bridge to investigate the ducks, kittens and the fishermen we spotted a wild otter. George was very pleased to have seen a French relative of Eric.
Not surprisingly the outside pool was very cold. Ruby didn't mind, she was soon making friends with a little bit and girl (Cameron and Isabel) acting as a retriever for Cameron throwing the ball. George and Crocodile were happy just sipping their toes until Mummy once again made George remember that he liked to swim. Though again the signal to finish was George going blue.
After some warming and plenty of meatballs, Ruby proving she was totally better by asking for seconds. It was time doe the usual bed routine.
