Had a good look around Moissac before setting off. We can thoroughly recommend this place: a very lively town, steeped in history and in a most attractive part of the county.
Bashed out about 80km, mostly along the canal. Ever East. 80km sounds better than 50 miles I think. But I've come up with a better unit of measurement for touring cyclists: it's called the BIC. You know, like, small areas are quoted in multiples of football pitches and, like, larger areas are imagined as multiples of the size of Wales (works particularly well to evoke images of Amazonian deforestation). Well I think the number of BIC razors you get though is good unit. Particularly as facial hair grows at a constant rate and fully laden cycle speeds are much of a muchness. I got to Toulouse in 2.5BIK. I think 10BIK would get me across Europe and I guess Around The World in Eighty Shaves or, better, 30BIK would give the right feel (pun not intended). Great razors too. Why pay more?
We turned up, as invited, at the palatial residence of Ange and Paul White at around 5pm. I can smell cassoulet!

Mr Jangut So how do measure units for those of us who choose to have facial hair? Please provide the recipe for the cassoulet, 'cos we have neighbours who provide a very good version of this dish. Anyway, you are supposed to be on a serious bike ride, not enjoying yourselves.
