A slow start this morning and time for a cooked brekky of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon...I can see this is becoming a habit! Gadi spent a while fixing a few things - I am thinking he could start a 'Fix My Anything' business while we are on the road - and I cleaned out the car freezer. This morning was blanketed in a white mist making almost nil visibility across the bay. We ate breakfast, packed up and crossed our fingers the car would be fine. And it was, thanks to my clever husband! We drove back to Portland to take care of some chores - to the dump point to empty the toilet (it has to be done!), then filled the van tanks with water, the car with fuel and the gas bottles with gas and importantly, purchased extra fuses for the car...just in...

Lazy morning once again and finally packed up and set off for Portland where we spent some time in the Visitor Centre gathering information and maps. Known as Victoria's oldest European settlement, Portland has a mix of industries that centres around its impressive port. After a peaceful first night we set off for Warrnambool this morning to have a look around town, as well as the stunning coast line and Tower Hill, an amazing historic volcano that we haven't visited for many years. Next was the cute town of Port Fairy, now preparing for this weekend's famous folk festival, where we ate a late lunch by the marina.
