Shower, quite chilly, but soon warms up. Breakfast at hostel. Misplaced my towel, oops, but find it in the laundry room. Walk back to the Sunshine Plaza along the river, buy some water. Get back on the Greyhound Bus to Brisbane.

Fantastic place! Very relaxed, and very beautiful, lots of lovely old-style buildings, some come alive at night with purples and blues shining off them. Go for a walk with Tom (25, Newcaslte, works in construction) to get an idea of the layout of the city. Find various places to visit, books an Australia Zoo visit for Wednesday and an Alehouse tour for tomorrow afternoon. We do a quiz at the hostel, and finish 2nd, winning $25 between the three of us, Tom and I joined by Raimon, 22, a Swiss travelling round on a motorbike.
