So, even though my last post was on 2 November, I am going to start right after we left Prauge on the 23 October.
(this is gonna be long, just to warn you ahead of time, but I will break it into parts so we all dont lose our minds)
Our flight back to London wasn't until 7pm, but we had pretty much seen everything we wanted to and were ready to get back home, so we got lucky enough to bump up to an earlier flight at 3pm, which put us back into central london at about 4:30ish. We headed home to Harrow to drop off our stuff and change our traveling clothes and then went back into central london to meet up with Bryan and Claire! They both go to UPS with us and are on a similar programme in Dublin (though more geared to performance) at the Gaiety School of Acting. They came to London for a few days with their group, so we got a visit in too. We met them that night (thursday, 23 Oct) at the National Theatre (they had just gotten out of a show) and wandered around for a bit before walking them back to their hostel. We tried to stop in a pub, but London is still under some very old laws that say most places cannot serve alcohol after 23:00, and it was 10 til by then, so we decided to forget it. The next day (friday, 24 Oct) they were uberbusy with their programme so we hung out and home and did the massive amount of laundry that we had piling up and went grocery shopping for the week. Saturday morning we met up with Claire (bryan forgot) and had brunch at Bea's, my favourite little cafe/bakery. We met bryan after eating and headed to Regent's Park to take advantage of the beautiful day. They had a show later that day, so after wandering the park a bit we headed to Liester Square and had some lunch before dropping them off at the theatre (to see Six Characters actually). This was our last time with Claire, as she was headed up to Oxford that night to go visit her folks. Bryan stayed until Monday, so we said goodnight and made plans for the next day.
Sunday morning I met Bryan at King's Cross at noon-ish and we met Kate at the Imperial War Museum- a must if you visit London, it's so cool. After spending a good portion of the day there, we headed into Harrow and started cooking. In addition to Kate and Bryan, Matt, Laura and Cara joined us for dinner. It felt kind of strange hosting a dinner in someone else's kitchen, but it was fun. After dinner we went out to the Fat Controller (pub in harrow) and met Dayna there. It was a fun night and I'm glad Bryan got to meet some of our friends. We didnt make any definite plans for the next day, so we half-said our goodbyes and ran to catch the last bus back to our house and he the last tube back into town.
Mondays (this was now the 27 Oct) are always short days for me, so I called Bryan up after class to see how long he was still going to be here for and if he wanted to hang out. He was at the National Gallery, so Kate and I took a bus down and met him, though it took a while because he told me the wrong place on the phone. we grabbed coffee and sat on the steps at Trafalger for a bit before deciding to head over to Camden Markets for a bit, because neither of them had been (another London must). You can find anything and everything there and we spent a few hours until we put Bryan on the tube to take him out to Heathrow. It was very good to see him (and claire), but not so sad because I was heading to Dublin for a return visit in about three weeks.
