Waking up early today, getting ready and making sure we have plenty of warm clothes on! We walked to the campsite's gate at 7.45am to wait for our shuttle bus to take us to Cardrona Alpine for skiing!! We couldn't wait especially Charlene and Asher where they will have lesson. Three of us knew how to do it. As large coach drove around the sharp bends to get the top of mountain, we was relieved that we arrived at the top! We went for the rental area where we will hire skis and boots etc. Asher and Charlene went off for their lesson. Me, Sara and Dominic was so amazed to see a such beautiful mountains and slopes. We all got up the lift and went to the top. Me and Sara skied down the mountain without any problem as Mum and Peter B-House taught us how to do it. Dominic was out of practice as the last time he skied was 8 years ago! I went around various slope and areas to try out. Firstly we went for beginner route, then moved up to intermediate route. I loved every minutes of it! Then I saw the advance route sign, of course I was tempted, unsurprisingly I tried it out and it worked out well, I managed not to fall especially when I sped down passing rocks etc. Anyway.. Then it time for us to go home as the mountain is closed at 4pm. 5 minutes after sitting down in the coach, I fell asleep as I was so worn out. Arrived Wanaka, we went for i-Site to book for skydiving in Franz Josef where I can see the glacier. Everything was booked and is in order. We went up food shopping to have some top up in our fridge. Then we came back our campsite for another night where tomorrow morning we will move to Fox Glacier and Franz Josef.
