We took our time this morning, walked around the Internet city. No point for early start today due to religious day, which everything is closed until 1pm including the metro! We booked a tour in world tallest building, Burj Khalifi (I think I got the spelling wrong) at 1pm, so we decided to get taxi to get us there in time. But unfortunately we are unable to stop taxi, as literally every of them is already occupied, we stood outside for a good 45 minutes, after hundred taxis, it was 1pm already. So the metro is opened and we rushed to the tallest building. We arrived at 2.30, luckily they let us through. Finally I am in the lift, taking us to the tallest point of United Arab Emirates (as there is no mountains around, but a flat desert). WOW the view is beautiful, I could tell how Dubai have developed so quickly and saw plenty of buildings still under construction just outside the city. Had plenty of photos taken and had 360• view. We then went to the Creek in north east of Dubai where the Dubai Museum is based. The museum is very informative and answers plenty of my questions of why it developed so quickly. I would explain on here but I couldn't trust myself as I know I would waffle on! Anyway, we made our way to the creek port where we got Dhow (very traditional wooden boat) to get across the creek, it's only cost me 1 Dirham (equals to 15p). Its Indian community and much poorer than the other side of the creek. We scrolled around the city of Gold where every shop sells gold, necklace etc. I saw world biggest golden ring (certified by Guinness World Record). Enjoyed ourselves and finally get to see the poorer part of Dubai. It was already 10.30pm so we head back to the Mall for dinner, had Chinese - delicious!
