plane trips were awesome with thai airways. flight the bangkok was a bit tight, but the food was great, with real knifes and forks, the plane had plenty of movies games, tv shows and even a game that taught you german or whatever language you wanted. second flight was on a plane on double levels (and air bus?) heaps of room and great food, only downside was the 7 hours stop over in bangkok where i didn;t do anyting but walk around for 5 hours.
my apparentment in eostrich-winkel is great, have a good bathroom, large room, everything seems to work ok, and even have a dishwasher, wasking machine and dryer.
staying with and 2 aussie guys and girl, 2 asians, 3 irish guys, one of which i'm sure is gay and an indian. made good friends with one aussie, dave, danielle the aussie girl and merrick and sean 2 irish guys, sean of which supposedly doesn't drink.
right now over here it's quite weird, it light very early, around 5;30-6am and light till 10pm, i was wearing sunglasses at 9pm the past few nights.
we are quite a while from EBS, from the maps they showed me via email i was under the impression we were about 2km away from EBS, but we;re about a 50 minute walk away. the town is like a country town, with old style buildings, stone paths and such. there are waineries everywhere here aswell, and it all looks quite nice with the rhein in the background.
classes go from 9am to 4 pm with an hour lunch, the lunch is good value with a sort of small buffet from 3.60 euro the first day of class we learnt som survival german, the night we went to a small pub in winkel which was nice. problem is the town is like a retiree village, thers only some small pubs and not much to do. second day we learnt about economic integratation of the EU and went to and irish bar in weisbaden. the there were tequila shots and beirs for 1.50 euro, and it was karoke night so that was entertaining. third day was about tax and was incrediably boring and that night went out to mainz to a bar that had a brewery that had some terrific beir. than went to a club on the top floor of some building which was pretty awesome.
today we did some cultural stuff, which was ok, but basic and we're thwoing a party tonight in the apparentment.
so far best part would be the company, the couple of irish guys dave danielle and i have had some good times, with many jokes and all that sort of thang
