The train from Penang got in at about 20 to 7 yesterday morning and me and Karis stepped off it both looking (and probably smelling) like zombies. Coming out into the massive train station we realised we had no idea where in Kuala Lumpur we were or where we wanted to go. Peerie bit of a nervous moment. Until we heard Bohemian Rhapsody blasting through da station which weirdly enough kinda calmed wis down. Stumbled across a leaflet for a hostel called the Central Lodge which was just right next to the station so decided to go for a look. After hauling wir bags up 4 flights of stairs and discovering that it didna look too scabby, we decided that we might probably collapse if we had to keep carrying wir bags around and decided to stay. We ended up in a five person dorm but nobody else was booked in so we've had it all to ourselves.
After dumping wir bags and checking in, we headed for a look at the Kuala Lumpur City Gallery. It seemed to be very new with big lit up models of the city and various bits and pieces about its history, none of which I can mind anyway. But it was nice to see. At night time we headed to Chinatown and had an amazing meal in a peerie restaurant there, afore looking through all the stalls. So many people selling so many random things. We both bought a pair of hippy breeks cus fae what we've seen so far they seem to be necessary to every traveller.
Spent today just walking around again. Visited an orchid garden, where they seemed to be filming something for tv, so we didna stick around too long. Then we went to Central Market, which was full of arts/crafts/clothes/jewellery - lots of nice things. Back outside for some food; a massive plate of curry with naan bread and juice for just over £1. Crazy cheap. But incredibly yummy. Now it's just been back to the hostel to try and get wirselves sorted for heading to Singapore tomorrow for the last part of the Asia leg!
