7 Day UK tour - Part 2:
Waking up in Wales on Monday we headed off fairly early and plunged through the middle of the Brecon Beacons national park, seeing some beautiful hilly scenery and thousands of happy looking sheep and goats munching on some of the greenest grass we've ever seen (guess all that rain is good for something!). After a brief walk to a 360 degree viewpoint and a few photos, we headed out of Wales and back into West England, where we made for Stratford-Upon-Avon, the birthplace of Billy Shakespearer.
After spending a lovely afternoon wandering the streets of Stratford, and feeding leaves to swans, we boarded our mini-bus and began the drive north to Liverpool, where we spent the night.
The following morning, we rose for breakfast and to put our bags on the bus, and then had most of the day to explore Liverpool. Highlights included a very interesting exhibition on the Titanic at the Maritime Museum, exploring the History Museum, and finding a great cafe for coffee and lunch. Non highlights included visiting the modern art museum, where we were blown away by the pure genius of some of the creative art there, including a shelf with books on it (WOW) and a wall with coins glued to it (these people deserve more credit!).
That evening we made for Blackpool, a smallish coastal town further north with some very quirky elements to it!
