Woke up in Taman Negara, packed and went to check out and pay the rest of my money for the room as I still owed 5 ringgit but the lady wasn't there and we had to catch a bus.
Got to the bus stop at 8.55 precisely and the bus had already left even though it's a mini bus and he knew we were coming!!! The travel agent from last night randomly drove past on his moped and called the bus to come back! How lucky is that!!!
It took 2.5 hours to get out of the rain forest and back to Jerantut where the bus stop is. Had already booked the bus from here to Kuala Besut the place the jetty is but we bought a boat ticket from the jetty to Perhentian Islands.
We decided to go to the smaller island out of the two as it is quieter so we booked a boat to Perhentian Kecil. Perhentian Besar is the b***** one. Its one of the highlights of Malaysia apparently! It has flying foxes as well!!
The bus left at 11 so we only had half an hour in the wifi restaurant! After 2 days I feel like a cave person! Finally back to the real world! Ha I'm joking but we do everything with our phones not just talk to friends, including, looking at destinations, looking for work, accommodation, prices, attractions, maps, organising things, banking, writing blogs and finding out what's going on around the world (celebrity not world affairs I'm not 70!).
We were on the bus for 3 hours till we got to a random road side buffet restaurant! It cost 10 ringgit (£2) for whatever you wanted including rice, noodles, potato, meat, sandwiches, eggs and drinks etc.
Stopped at a petrol station, they play loud music here and it was Mariah!! Had a sing along then left them with the sound of my voice ringing in there ears! Got money out as there are no cash points on the islands.
Got to Kuala Besut jetty at 4 and got the boat to Perhentian Kecil which took 30 minutes, Michael refused to put his life jacket on as it didn't go with his top! What a diva!!! Haha
Arrived and the beach looked beautiful! White sand with clear blue sea! This is the life! We walked up and down the beach until we checked into Amelia's Guest House. It has huts next to the beach and costs us 60 ringgit (£12) per night which is expensive! I gave him 50 ringgit and said I would pay the rest tomorrow as he didn't have change for another 50.
At 5 we went to go and sun bath, the sun wasn't as hot anymore and it sets at about 6.30 or 7 but it was just nice!
Went in the sea with our phones in waterproof cases to take photos under the sea! They came out ok, not brilliant, certainly not the same as normal iPhone pictures but you can still see everything! Maybe as good as a blackberry phone takes photos! ;)
Michael decided to bury me in the sand! He made me into a mermaid! Every asian walking past took a picture! I'll be in all there holiday albums! Two girls came up and said they wanted to take a picture for there travel website!! How crazy is that! We ended up speaking to them for a while and arranged to meet later! After everyone left Michael changed me from a girl mermaid to a lady boy mermaid! Close your eyes kids!!! Got even more photos! I feel famous!!
Went back to the hut, showered and met Shima and Shaz from Malaysia and Iran at the Amelia's BBQ at 8 next to our guest house! While we were ordering it started chucking it down!! Everyone ran to get the tables inside! We ordered and it took 2 hours to come! I think Michael was delirious!
We sat on a big table with shima and shaz and there two friends Sarah and MJ from Korea. Also sat on our table was to German girls, I think they were lesbians and one of them was built like a man! I won't mess with her!!! They were rude, always thinking they were right and not listening so we didn't speak to them.
Sarah told us she travelled around Africa last year and wrote a published book called 'same same but different', I guessed her age at 20 and Michael said 25... She was 35!!! There is no way!!! She looks younger then me!
The BBQ shut at 10.30 which is strange for an island! They usually stay open all night! Went next door and as we were all cold because it had rained we got a hot Milo! The guy said he would make us his 'special formula' milo! I would rather not!!!
The other table invited us for a singalong with there guitar, usually it's Bob Marley or something like that. I said if he sang beyonce we would join but he didn't! Not good enough!
Shaz and Shima were telling us about Denggi, we had heard of this before it's a virus you catch from mosquitoes and if you get it more then a few times or if you don't treat it fast enough it kills you. Half the time we remember to take malaria tablets and hardly ever put deet on! Oops! There is no prevention or cure for it, we have heard of a couple of travellers getting it since being here!
Everything kills you here! So many viruses and animals waiting for you ready to pounce!! The bar man asked me to marry him on the way home! The amount of proposals I've had is unbelievable! I could have countless husbands!!
The guys in Amelia's were watching Maid in Manhattan! We sat with them for a bit as you can't walk past Jennifer Lopez! Got back about 12.30 and was scared of bugs all night! I may never make it through the night!
