Valencia
I haven't been able to update my blog or write properly to anybody because my laptop couldn't pick up the wifi at the hostel that I was staying at in Valencia, and it was difficult and slow to write on my phone.
Right now I'm at the bus station in Valencia and just found out that I have a 2 and a half hour wait for my bus to Madrid! It's going to be a very long day. Right now it is really hot and muggy and I am sweating a lot. The bus ride should take about four hours. I was originally going to catch a train that is a lot faster, but I had to catch a bus to the train station and I couldn't be bothered to work it out because the language barrier is more difficult in Spain than in any other country that I have been to. On the positive side, my ticket only cost me 26 euro! And I have 4 nights in Madrid so I won't have to travel again for a short while which will be nice. Cydney is with Busabout and her bus leaves at 1:30 so I shouldn't be far behind her. I hope she doesn't get to our hostel before I do because she might worry about where I am since I left early to catch a bus.
Valencia was a lovely city! Unfortunately I had a lack of sleep for 2 nights so I couldn't stay up late at all. La Tomatina was a really fun experience! I wouldn't do it again but I would recommend it to anybody who hasn't done it yet. We found Pete and Sarah in a crowd of 41,000 people! It was great to see them again, and they are coming to Madrid for 2 nights so I'll be able to spend some more time with them. We hung out last night too and had a few drinks at their friend's hotel room which was really nice, then we went out but I got too tired and had to leave everybody early. It was probably a good thing because they didn't get much sleep and are hungover and need to catch a 4 hour bus too but I feel great!
I am excited for Madrid, though nobody really raves on about it. San Sebastian, my next stop after Madrid, is apparently one of the best places to go in Europe. It's a beach city on the boarder of Spain and France. I have a return flight from Madrid to San Sebastian so the travel shouldn't be too bad.
Not long until I am home now! I have really started to miss Vegemite. I should have brought some over but I completely forgot! All they have to put on toast over here is jam, which I don't really like so I've just been having some butter on toast. I'm also really keen to sleep in my nice bed! I do love it overseas and it is easy to adapt to waiting and carrying luggage but I'm very glad that I'm not doing it for too long.

Dad Hang in there Youngann,' I am really pressed for time this minute - about to board a flight to Sydney from Singapore. I have only been away for a week but really looking forward to getting back home. Enjoy Spain and relax before the flight home. We play Newcastle in the last game of the regular season tomorrow and I will try to send you the result. LOL or = lots of love, Dad
Mum Sweet Annie, you are a trooper and you seem to be a well seasoned traveller...well done. Glad to see you are enjoying Spain. I must say, your friend Sarah is a funny girl, I have been reading her posts on facebood and she has a great wit and a very dry sense of humour. Hang out with Sarah and Pete and you are sure to have a good time. We are keeping your bed warm for you. The renovation is taking longer than expected but we hope to be back into our bedroom in the next two weeks. Souths won 18-6 and as dad says, always dominant! Did you get your upgrade? Love Mum xxxxx
