Madrid Madrid was a nice place to be for 5 nights. There isn't a lot to do which explains why nobody recommends it, but it is a nice city. Getting there was easy because I caught the bus and then got a taxi to my hostel. The hostel wasn't the best - it had a good social atmosphere but the staff were rude and the rooms were so cramped! Arrived in London last night! It was a big effort getting here even though the flight is only 50 minutes. I got to Amsterdam airport so early accidentally because I had to check out of my hostel at 9 and didn't want to walk around with my bag everywhere so I thought public transport would take a while but it was really fast!
