I have loved my time in Santorini, however I did two things that I've avoided for the past week and a half since I left home…got sunburnt and spent heaps of money haha. On the quad bikes we were in the sun all day except we couldn't tell how hot it was because we had a breeze so basically everybody got burnt. I put sun cream on everything aside from my chest and my face and I'm quite pink on the places that weren't covered. It should go down shortly, but Greek sun is definitely different to Australian sun!
I bought some presents for back home for mum's 50th and started some Christmas shopping as I'm planning on doing it gradually this year so that I don't spend heaps of money all at once. The shopping here is fantastic! I didn't buy any crap like everybody else got for back home because I don't want things to break. I found an amazing watch for Mitch but when I asked how much it cost I found out it was 6500 euros…slightly out of my price range haha.
I just got home from donkey riding! It was so nice. We rode them up this big cliff that looked over the water and the white houses, it was a million dollar view but only cost us 5 euro! We rode a mixture of horses/mules/donkeys…I think mine was more a horse or a mule and he was beautiful! Some donkeys took ages to get up the hill because they'd stop and be stubborn haha but mine was lovely and he only stopped once and looked out at the view, so I let him rest and then asked him to go again and he did! I got a photo with him after I think he liked me. Everybody named their donkey and I called mine "Big Joey" because he reminded me of Joey. Really soft mouth
We are meeting for the Santorini sunset at 5:10 and it's now 11:30 so I have a while to just chill out. I can't wait to see the sunset I've been looking forward to it the most since I got to Athens. Mum and dad if you come to the Greek Islands some day you'll have to do Santorini. Choose the relaxing islands.

John West Thanks Annie - just sent you an email. Dont buy me stuff as I have all that I need. Keep out of the sun for a while but enjoy that beautiful sunset. Sounds like "little Joey" and you have become mates. Don't bring him home as we are a little short on space. Your existing boy is more than big enough. Talk soon, lots of love (LOL) and have fun. Dad
