I never met Math before. I just knew she was one of Steph's and Celia's best friends. Very nicely, she invited me to join for a week-end in her mum's house in Arbois, Jura. I said yes without knowing what to expect. And how fantastic it was to discover the place we would stay with the 4 other girls. A big house in a huge property, hidden in the heights of Arbois, sitting next to a small chapel.
We were welcome by Math's mum Véro and her partner Dany. Dany was playing the guitar while Véro served us lots of herbal tea in clay cups. We stayed up quite late and the 5 of us, girls, went to bed, in the same bedroom (just like in summer camp), a room under the roof.
When I woke up the following morning, I first listened to the birds. Then to my Ipod for about one hour, waiting for another girl to wake up. When Steph and I got out we had this huge smile on our face because it was so beautiful, so quiet and we were going to have a nice breakfast outside, in the sun. We visited the big garden, the orchad, and then went and chat with Dany and Véro who are by the way the best hosts and some cool people!
The 3 other girls woke up quite late, but it was not an issue as our lunch would take quite some time to be ready. Véro prepared a huge caldron with big pieces of meat, and loads of veggies. Not only was it cool to see our lunch cook in this caldron but it was also delicious!
Later that day we went for a walk in Arbois, which is a very cute little town. And then Math invited us to visit the cellar of a winemaker and to try out some special wines from Jura. Definitely not my favorite wines but I bought 2 bottles of Savagnin and 2 of a kind of Macvin.
We spent the evening cooking delicious lasagna, drink some wine, discuss funny and less funny stuff.
I was tired when I left because I didn't sleep as much as usual but I felt good. Relaxed.
Thanks to Math, Véro and Dany for this opportunity.
Thanks to Célia, Steph,Math and Marion for their super good mood and the great laughters!
