When we left this afternoon with Adrien, our goal was to go and get a bunch of fruits and veggies from a farm in the next village. But as we were a bit too slow, we arrived a half hour too late. It'll have to wait. Then we wanted to try to find a cute village where to see something interesting. At some point a sign was telling that an old church from the XIIth century was standing a few kilometers away. So we decided to go but nothing huge. A tiny church with a nice green park where you can find a huge, huge cross.
We then had a walk in the village itself and it was not really charming. And there is not a single shop there. Not even a bakery. It's real country side. Some houses don't even have a fence surrounding their yard. But people have huge properties. In this village you'll find either huge old farms or huge houses with a huge garden with a perfect lawn.
The old church didn't fascinate me. I, however, had a thing with the hop plantations. They are cultivated as hedges in order to avoid aphids as much as possible. The hop cones were not really big but they usually are later during the year. Around august or september I believe.
But not a place to go back to. Good to know.
