The last couple of days we have been busy site seeing. We have been to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho. Grand Palace was very impressive. It makes Buckingham Palace look very ordinary. It was a great day out and you can easily spend hours here. It was blazing hot sunshine all day and we had to keep hunting for shade. We've been very lucky as we haven't seen any rain yet! (touch wood) considering its the end of the rainy season. We went on the river boat to and from the palace, that was good although a tad disorganised for the non locals! Yesterday we had a lazy morning and then in the afternoon we ventured out to hunt for Wat Pho. We managed to walk there which wasn't too far. Fantastic day and only 100baht to get in! The reclining Buddha is soooooo huge, see pics. Last night we went to Khao San road for food. That was brilliant, so busy full of tourists and locals, loads of choice for places to eat and drink. Dead vibrant always something going on, loads of places to get a relaxing foot massage or traditional Thai massage, still haven't done that yet, next on my to do list. We have only one more night in Bangkok, boo, then we are heading to the coast region of Rayong to spend a few days chilling on the beach after the hustle and bustle of the city. We then plan to come back to Bangkok to catch a sleeper train to Chiang Mai. Will update you all in a few days. X
