Well we did it! Tubing!!! Heard so many stories about it, people dying and what not. Well it was great really relaxing, floated down the Mekong in out tractor tyre inner tubes with a couple of bottles of Lao beer in hand, bliss! Met some real cool people too which made the day even better. Think we all managed to drift down the river for at least 4 hours! Lol We did stop off half way and climb some make shift wooden steps in bare feet, ouch, up the river bank as a Lao woman had cold beers for sale, 15000 kip each, they know how to make a buck from the tourists, I love them for it! Was a really great day out.
Along the way we saw river snakes going past along with many fish. Fab time.
