The day started with a short trip to Homosassa Springs. Here we went to a wildlife park that several habitats, the main one of which was set aside for manatees. We walked around and also saw a variety of birds as well as alligators, bears, panthers, and a hippo. The ride to the park area actually started with a boat ride through a creek where we saw an osprey nest set in the tallest tree in the area.It looked very much like an eagle's nest, which we had seen 2 days ago in the swamp in Louisiana. Our timing here was wonderful. We went back to a covered waiting area for our boat back when it started to rain. By the time the boat got there, the rain stopped. We got dropped off back at the main building where we stopped to eat and a downpour began. After we were done eating, it stopped again. That kind of luck makes up for the fact that I keep hurting myself in the RV. I can definitely vouch for the fact that these things are made tough, or at least tough to with withstand the multiple impacts from my head, knee, elbow, etc.Must…continue…adapting…
Afterwards, we continued south to Tampa Bay where we are now for the next 3 days.I have an Aunt that lives here. We will be visiting her along with all of the other things we will be doing. The beach is on the agenda for tomorrow if it's not raining. We are expecting rain in the afternoon but even if it's just cloudy, we are going to hit the ocean. Also, if I can find a theater nearby, which shouldn't be difficult, we are going to go see Wall-E.Angela's only been waiting for this since the beginning of May.Ok, maybe I've been waiting for it a little too.
Interesting time at my aunt's.She had all of these older photos of my grandfather as early as 2 years old. But most of the pictures were from when he was in World War II.It was fascinating to see the pictures with the older model cars and what not in the background.I also found intriguing from the perspective of looking at the pictures was looking back in time down your own family line and tracing your DNA back a few generations in the matter of time it takes to look at a picture. I'm not sure I'm able to translate it into words but there it is.
The videos do not seem to be loading tonight.I'll try again in the morning. I'm starting to get the hang of getting videos.I just need to train myself to keep them at 30 seconds or less so they don't take a long time to upload or download.
Good times.
