We made our last little leg of the journey to Rindge, New Hampshire which serves as our new home base until we fly home next week. Rindge has been nice and relaxing. She's spending lots of time with Zach which leaves plenty of time for me to check out and do nothing. Ahh, vacation. But still, I'll go grab Angela from time to time for a game of ladderball or just to see if she remembers me.
From there, we traveled to Maine on Monday to visit more relatives and check out this alleged cold Atlantic ocean. Angela, as "brave" as she is, managed to go waist deep. I made it to about ankle deep and then limped out of the water. I didn't think water was supposed to be painful like that. What an odd sensation.
Day 2 was a little better. The sun was shining more but the breeze coming in from the ocean just made it cooler. The water felt slightly warmer enough to where I went up to my knees. (Hmm, maybe I'm confusing slighty warmer with the nerve endings in my legs still being frozen over.) Angela was still charging into waves. We found a few more shells to add to her collection, including a sand fifty cent piece...ok, ok, a sand dollar that was split in half.
I slipped out of my routine a little today and paid the price. Normally, when I go to the pool, I leave everything at the RV so as not to have a bunch of things to carry around. Well, long story short, cell phones don't work well after 15 minutes in the hot tub. Heh, that's ok thought. I've been wanting to replace this one anyway. It's 5 years old and every parent should have a camera phone. So, with that said, Angela and I are not contactable until I replace my phone. We can, of course, be emailed. I still have slight hope that if I leave my phone alone for a few days for drying, maybe it will come back to life. Let's hope not. :)
