Heyyyyy!
Well I am just back from Ireland and guess what? I watched Neighbours with ad breaks! It was a very bizarre experience. Still not much going on in Neighbours. Dil has gone back to his bad boy roots, and is now bullying poor Kimbo, who wants to give up the pirate dvd business, but Dil is having none of it. Oh dear. Carmella the nun is still there, and Toadie has reappeared from wherever he went to. It is the re-wedding of Kimbo and Janelle this week, although methinks that Boyd and his tight pink t-shirts will end up marrying Janae instead.
Evil Cam had broken up Paul and Izzy. How? I hear you ask. Well Cam recorded an innocent coversation that he had with Izzy, then doctored it so it sounded as if she was coming on to him. So Izzy was thrown out.
I sense that it will be the end of the line for Karl and Jenny (as Catriona said - where did she come from? I think she is supposed to be Erinsborough's Maggie Thatcher.) Karl has been coaching Zeke the wooden boy (he reminds me of Pinnochio) in football, which conveniently means that he ends up spending time with Susan. The neighbours scriptwriters are really outdoing themselves just now.
Anyhoo, it sounds like you are having a fair few adventures, both planned and unplanned. After sleeping on wooden benches and the like, you will be able to sleep anywhere from now on!
Remember, keep slapping on the suncream (Andrew)!

I gather from your text that you are really enjoying the islands. I looked them up on the internet and they are as you described - paradise. What plans do you have for your last week in thailand? There can't be much that you haven't tried. We have had a very hectic week here, Jem was having nothing to do with Millie. she wouldn't even be in the same room as her, wouldn't look at her, averted her eyes on every occasion, but we have had a major breakthrough, due to the fact that I forgot to latch Millies kennel this morning before I went to work. When I came home and found her door openand the cage empty I feared the worst, but no they both there, quite happy and waiting to go into the garden. We have been friends ever since and are driving us to distraction tonight with their non stop games of tag. Jems tail hasn't stopped wagging all night so we think they've cracked it. Millie herself has settled in very well and has slept through the night since we got her on Friday. Better go now and give her last feed and a wee romp in the garden. Can't wait for you both to get home and get all your news first hand, meanwhile enjoy your last week and have fun
Luv to you both Mum X X

Hi both,
Hope you've been havin a good time in that remote area. Nothing much doing here at all. I can't believe that's your time away almost up-
When you are next in touch you'll have to put in your special order for tea the night you get home, and let us know when to come out to the airport for you. Will wait to hear , and meantime, enjoy your last week! Love, mum x

Hi kids!! Anything I write is going to sounds so very boring after reading your journals!! I feel the need to make something up & say I'm pregnant or I'm moving to live in Australia but you wouldn't believe me anyway!!! Went thru next door last night & shared a bottle of wine with Nicky & met little Millie - she is so cute, you will both be besotted when you see her (bet you can't wait)!! Liz your mum is doing so well in her diet, don't know how she does it, black coffee instead of wine mmmmmmmm.........
I hope you have hordes of photos will be interesting to see all the things you've been speaking about. Must be a bit of a thought now to come back to boring old Aberdeen where the weather is terrible, not had any decent weather since we came back our hols. was wearing boots and jacket in town at the weekend and it's getting dark by 9pm, feels like winter is creeping up already (sorry to depress you)! Enjoy the rest of your time, it's coming to an end now but what a fantastic adventure you've had. Look after yourselves and don't go too near those sharks.
Lotsa love,
Gillie

Your little sister has arrived, amazingly she doesn't look a bit like you. When Millie approaches Gem to play,Gem either runs out of the house into the garden or hides under the table, she is petrified of Millie, blouse or what?. Your journals make interesting reading and it is great to read all about your adventures. Enjoy Malaysia and the rest of your holiday and look forward to reading about your travels.

Ok i just read all your message things... Man am i jealous. Hehe!! It sounds like you guys are havin a great time. So if you're trained scuba divers does that mean you can teach me how to do it too?? Just a thought!!!
You'll be glad to know i got to and from swansea without any bother, much to mum's relief had a great week, serious sleep deprivation problems though!! But thats life!
I've had to look after myself this last week as the other three are in Ireland for Cambo's football, which by all accounts is goind well. Hope you're also impressed to hear i've been studyin hard for criminal and public (Gutted) i think i'm still sane but you might have to judge for yourselves when you get back as i'm not convinced. Hehe.
Well Hope you have a great time and we'll have to meet up when you get back to hear all the stories
PS To Andy: Scaring the lizard back into the shower...hilarious!!!
Love Scott x

Hello you two jetsetters, off to Malaysia now I understand. Your fairly getting around (in the nicest possible way)!! Looking forward to hearing what Malaysia's like, don't know anyone who has ventured there before. Sounds like youre becoming scuba pro's, I'm imressed that the thought of sharkies swimming around nearby didn't frighten you off!
I am right with my recollections that you both offered to assist with DIY in the flat.??... I hope so, cos as Mum said, I have invested in my own (2nd hand) paper stripper so with an assistant, the woodchip removal would be done in half the time!!
Caught the end of neighhbours today and the hilarious storyline with carmella-the-nun continues. Connor has told her he thinks she is just running away from her problems and her true calling is NOT to be a nun-exciting stuff. Bree busted Kimbo and his pirate dvd selling ring -wow. Things are a bit rocky on the whole Dr Karl/Jenny (where did she come from) front.
Was round at Sandy's last night, as you know, you called! to celebrate Kath turning the big 1-8 and a lovely time was had. Kath was away out "just to Slains"...ohoh, I fear she started along the rocky path to that other life known as student life!
Ciao for now x
Mum/linda
Hi both,
We're not having nearly such an exciting time as you- what have we been up to? Cat,Kath and I went to see singalonga sound of music- maybe not as different as the lady boy show but still saw men dressed up as women(nuns.)There was also someone as a snow capped mountain and others as favourite things,Hitler etc.A good laugh for us but ken's idea of hell on earth.
Tonight we're away down to celebrate Kath's birthday with her-I've made a lasagne, by special request and Cat has made a cake- this time it hasn't hit the bottom of the bucket with a huge thwack as soon as it came out of the oven, as her baking usually does.Better say it's fine, whatever it tastes like!
Had Mama to the doctor again- back still very bothersome. She's getting a male physio coming to the house, and she keeps telling us how nice he is, and handsome, that he's brown but that disnae matter he's still very nice and "far dis he come fae again?" I reckon there's a blossoming romance.
Cat's little flat is like a bomb site. The rot is being fixed soon, so the carpets are up and the kitchen has been ripped out. It'll no doubt get worse before it gets better. She's bought a second hand wallpaper stripper through someone at Jennifer's work,(The opening line to this stranger-"I've come to see your stripper!")though we already have one, as she says two people can then get on with the work in hand- cheeky madam! When I said who would that be she mentioned a list , but said you two had offered- so were you aware your services were required? She still intends getting rid of the plastic padded pale blue, floral patterned toilet seat, which is breaking my heart. It is so cute and has a matching lid and I would miss it.maybe it should be in a museum, a toilet museum.
I've a day off tomorrow-I think I feel some retail therapy coming on(don't tell ken) but I think I'll take the walking rather than the zip lining route- were you not scared you let go? You're a brave pair, going from tree tops to the bottom of the ocean.
Anyway, will sign off for now- happy zipping/diving/tok toking/and everything else....I'm exhausted just reading about it!! Love, mum x
