So second blog, managed to get some photos uploaded which are far more interesting than what i have to say! Since i've last been on, we took a tuk tuk, little motorcycle thing around a few sights (see pic). The temples were pretty impressive and the sun had finally shown it's face so it was an absolute scorcher! The varyingattitudes of the monks was pretty interesting as well as we saw one motionless meditating, just before we saw another whizz past on his moped, cigarette in one hand, mobile phone in the other! We went out on the Khaosan road on friday nnight which was pretty cool, you can meet every sort of person there. From the suitmakers touting for trade (a tailored cashmere suit for absolute peanuts) who informed us that our muscular physiques would look great in one of their suits, and also that i have apparently 'the waist of a woman' which is another good attribute!! We've also been sampling the food from the streetside sellers, from spring rolls to garlic and pork cooked right in front of you (which was strong but v nice). Had a good night on friday though, bumped into our first fellow scholar (ironically enough one of the 2 other masons)! Yesterday (saturday) was spent on a pretty c ool trip which the photos sum up. Only photos of me i'm afraid as they took all the photos with taz and the cats on his camera and he hasn't got his usb gear. Got an air conditioned bus for 2 hours before hopping in the back of an open air truck/taxi for the final 30 mins to get to the tiger temple, but i'm not going to try and explain, just see the photos! We then hopped on our bus back at 3 to get us back to Bangkok for 5.30 in time for us to get an overnight bus up to Chiang Mai at 6. Unfortunately, the bus took four hours so we missed our overnight bus so had to grab some last minute accomodation for last night, which as there wasn't much room in the inn led to the first bed share of the trip! But Mr cool (the travel agent) true to his name, put us on the bus for this afternoon with no extra cost which was pretty wicked of him! I think we are just getting our gear together for the trek monday to wed today but really looking forward to that, will be a totally different side to Thailand! Feel free to leave messages etc!
